  • Exercise, from light walking to a regular workout routine, may help lower anxiety.
  • Talk with your;health care team about using anti-anxiety or anti-depressant medicines.

A study published in the journal Science by researchers from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne does a good job summing up how the brain actually has to re-experience a fear in order to extinguish it.
