Hi guys, I’ve run into a bit of a problem with smoking, and was hoping someone, or anyone could provide some insight or similar stories.
To preface, I’m 29, and I’ve smoked daily at varying levels . I have no mental issues whatsoever. Always happy and positive. Not depressed, stressed or anxious about anything currently happening in my life.
It has never been a problem for me, and I always enjoyed smoking especially after a long day at work. Then suddenly, 1 year ago, when I was 28, I got absurdly high on some edibles, to the point where I had my very first panic attack; and it was awful. Despite being a veteran smoker, I could not stop the feelings my body was going through, intense tingling in my extremities, heart was racing, nausea. I knew I was fine, but still couldn’t shake the feeling of impending doom.
Ever since that day, I stopped smoking. I also had chronic anxiety that persisted for about 3-4 months on and off. It was awful, and made me consult my doctor on multiple occasions to find out what the fuck was wrong with me.
After about 4 months… it just stopped, and I feel fine, back to 100%!
However, every single time I try to smoke now, no matter how much, I start to feel that same anxiety. I didn’t smoke any weed for about 1 full year, and just recently took a tiny tiny hit from my friends vape, so small I wasn’t even sure if I had gotten any.
Any advice or similar experiences would be much appreciated!
